This years REDROADSHOW kicked off in Sydney, Australia with a series of events for the Anglican Sydney Diocese with neuroscientist Dr William Struthers and Guilty Pleasure founder, Jason Huxley along with his wife, Laura, speaking to church leaders.
From Sydney, Jason and Dr Struthers travelled to Toowoomba, running a public event on Saturday night followed by speaking at two church services on Sunday before flying across to Perth on the Monday where they met up with Dr Allan Meyer from LifeKeys Internaitonal.
Tuesday morning, the team headed to Riverview Church for our first event for church leaders. There was a great response from across denominations. The team ran another event that afternoon with the Catholic church before getting on a flight to Adelaide.
Wednesday morning saw a church leaders breakfast at Adelaide City Salvos, followed by a quick flight before the big Melbourne Grey Matters event with RoundTable in the CBD. The night kicked off with music by Tom Tuena, while we were also joined by Simon Camilleri from Elephant Room who shared about what he does with support groups that help people struggling with pornography.
Thursday morning was our last event, which was another event for church leaders, this time hosted by the BUV and Salvation Army Brothel Support Teams and Camberwell Salvos. These events for church leaders aimed to equip them with information to take back their congregations.
Throughout the trip, Dr Struthers conducted a range of interviews on radio and for documentaries. The following interview with Clayton Bjelan was on Light FM in Melbourne.
