Earlier this month a few of us from the Guilty Pleasure team were featured on a segment about porn addiction on Channel 10’s The Project. The Project is a talk show broadcast nationally around Australia that focusses on news and current affairs topics.
While a daunting experience, we are always keen to share our personal stories because we know that they offer hope to those who are still struggling while creating awareness to make it easier to find help
Although we are never quite sure how the media will deal with the topic, we were actually quite pleased with the outcome given that they gave Guilty Pleasure quite a lot of attention in both an online article and the actual on air piece. We saw a lot of people coming to the website to find help when the clip went to air. There was also some genuine conversation on social media with people sharing about how their lives had been affected by pornography.
We are grateful for the crew from The Project taking the time to cover this topic.
